What is a Pamper Party?


A Pamper Party or pampering party is the perfect way to experience beauty treatments in the comfort of your own home or hired venue. It is the ultimate in affordable luxury before your big night for the most perfect girls night in or your child's birthday party.

 

How does it work?


We have a fantastic selection of pamper party packages that you can choose from.  From spa parties that include face masks and bubbling foot spas to pamper parties that include hair styling and makeup! Choose your date, Book online and that's it! We will receive your party booking send your confirmation of booking and then see you on the day around 30/45minutes before to set up depending on traffic and location of other parties we are coming from. If the date/time you have booked is not available we will give all others that are available however we will try our best to accommodate your preferred slot. Please check before booking if you are not flexible as all deposits are non refundable.

 

All our parties have recommended numbers however you may have more or less depending on your invite list. Extra children past the package number are £15pp. All our parties last approximately 2 hours however will ultimately depend on the amount you have attend. If less than the amount attend that you have booked for the party will end once all treatments ect have been performed (no parties will be less than 1hour 30 minutes long) If your number of guests increase party timing may go slightly over 2 hours. Ultimately you will be given a 2 hour time slot but the above will apply.

How do make a booking?


Simply complete our online booking form and pay your non-refundable deposit. Once we have your booking form and deposit you will then receive an email confirming your booking along with a reminder of the balance and due date. Invites if ordered will be sent out to your home address 1st class(providing it is not a last min party). One week prior to your party you will need to confirm or notify us of any number changes and payment made, if we do not receive final numbers then we will charge for the amount of guests you booked for including the birthday celebrant,  any extras that turn up will need to be paid for on the day. Last minute parties with a week or less to go will require full payment upon booking.

What do we need to provide for the party?


Our hosts will arrive with their own products and equipment, so you just need to provide enough room to accommodate a beauty bed if you are having  facials,  Our hosts will also need access to hot water if spas are involved and  a plug socket. A microwave to melt chocolate if the chocolate fountain is included. For those guests having pedicures, we suggest you bring along flip flops or toe dividers. Its also nice if you can provide a glass of water or a cup of tea for the hosts too. They are unable to drink any alcohol when working, so don’t feel offended if they don’t take you up on your offer of a glass of fizz. Other than that our hosts will work with you to make your pamper party as hassle free as possible. All we ask for is a clean, clear space to set up. If restricted by space we will prioritize the pampering and games will not be put out to play.

Where do you recommend the treatments take place?


For massages and facials we recommend that you set aside a warm, quiet room (such as a bedroom) so that you can fully relax and enjoy the treatment. Manicure and Pedicure treatments can take place in the same room with the rest of your guests so you don’t miss out on the fun. Pamper parties can be hosted in your homes, rented accommodation, or hotel rooms. All we ask is that if you are not holding it at your home, that you obtain permission from the venue/hotel prior to your party taking place.

How long do pamper parties last and how many treatments can you have during this time?


All our pamper parties are approx 2 hours but can last as long as 4 hours and depending on the package you choose and the amount of guests you have will depend on how long the treatments last. Parties with small numbers will last around 1hour 30 minutes but never any less.

What areas do you cover?


We cover 50miles from da8 and we come to you whether it is at home or at a hotel or another location. To avoid disappointment we recommend that you give us as much notice as possible.  Treatments, and therapist/personnel time are included in the price, but extra charges will apply for fuel any tolls on your route and parking down your road. Any travel costs to be paid will be communicated at the time of booking. A £60 travel charge will apply for any parties over the 50mile. Hosts fuel will also be added to the total, this will be calculated from da8 to your location and back.

What products do the hosts use and can we tip them?


All our hosts are  either beauty therapists, childminders, hairdressers or entertainers. All have been trained by Katherine the company director using different products and to the high standard that Glam Queen Pamper Parties work. Whilst we insist that they use professional products, brands will differ from host to host. If you do have sensitive skin or would like to know in advance what products the host is using please get in touch and we will endeavor to find out for you. With regards to children's skin and face products, childrens skin can be quite sensitive or they may also have allergies. Sensitivity can occur especially on very young skin if this is the case we will need to be made aware of sensitivities and or allergies prior to the party. We accept no responsibility if any reactions occur due to allergies or sensitivities that we have not be made aware of prior to the party taking place. We will not apply makeup products to adults or children with any type of infection such as conjunctivitis or cold sores. We do not apply lip products directly to the lips using the lip product we will use a brush that is cleaned after every use, we also use throw away sponges and applicators for foundation and mascaras. All our hosts are paid a competitive rate of pay when working with us, but if you are happy with the service and treatments you have experienced and wish to tip the hosts, then please do. There is no obligation to tip.

What happens if I need to change the amount of guests that are attending?


We ask for as much notice as possible (a minimum of 7 days notice), as this could affect how many hosts are needed for your party. Refunds can not be given to those guests not attending the party if they cancel within 7 days of the party date. For change of date this will incur a £25 admin charge. This enables us to create a new booking, provide staff, change routes ect.

Can anyone have therapies/treatments?


Everyone can have a beauty treatment, boys, girls, teens & adults, some therapies are not advisable if any of your guests have a medical condition. The medical conditions that are avoided these include, epilepsy, diabetes and cancer. If one of your guests is pregnant, we cannot provide massage  unless we are able to allocate a therapist with a specialist skill and qualification in this area. We also advise that you do not drink any alcohol prior to your party. For all parties we are only able to give treatments on confirmation via email of no allergies for all adults/children. If there are any allergies we will need to be made aware prior to the party via email, we will be able to work around this and provide the treatment.

 

We also ask that there is an adult present either in the room or near by whilst the parties go ahead.  We are unable to apply heat to afro textured hair as we are not qualified in this area however will do our best to make sure no one is made to feel left out, we often carry wash out coloured hair sprays so would use this instead. We always advise children to sit still after nail paint has been applied for around 5 minutes. We can re-do/re-apply smudges however it is ultimately down to parents who have authority over children to make sure that they listen to hosts advice.

Payment Terms


A  deposit will need to be paid once you have submitted your booking form £30. You can pay your deposit via pay-pal, debit card and credit card through our secure online payment site. This deposit is non-refundable should the party be cancelled. Once we receive payment and have allocated a host, your party is confirmed, we will send party confirmation via email along with a total left to pay and payment due by date. The remaining balance must be paid into our business account, we do not accept cheque or pay-pal payments for the remainder of the balance. In order for the party to go ahead, we do require payment prior to the party. Our hosts do not accept payment on the day of the event (unless collecting extra guests on the day). If your booking is made within 1 week of the party date we will ask for payment in full and you will not be required to pay a deposit. A non direct access fee of £25 will be added to any booking that is to be held in a flat/apartment not on ground floor level or with direct access to transport our equipment. A charge of £10 per host every half hour will be charged for any extra party time wanted.

Cancellations

All party cancellations will forfeit the deposit payment unless changing the date (within 4 weeks) Any cancellations after full payment has been made  will not be refunded due to party preparation, hours of planning and wasted products brought for the party.

 

Extra info for Kids parties

​

Upon booking with us you must ask all parents of children attending that they are happy for their child to participate in the party itself and all treatments. By booking any party that includes a picture package you are agreeing that these pictures taken may be used on our website or social media page for advertising purposes for all girls attending the party. Any allergies must be mentioned when booking and also to the therapists on the day prior to the party. We do not take any responsibility for reactions or injury at the party.

Information We Collect-

To fulfil your booking, you must provide us with certain information through our website, such as your name, email address, phone number, postal address, payment information, and the details of the party that you’re booking. You may also choose to provide us with additional personal information (for a personalised item, for example), if you contact me directly or add a note to the order.

Payments with deposit are processed through Pay-pal, final party balances are sent through to our business account from yours. We do not store any card or bank detail information.

Why We Need Your Information and How I Use It-

We use the information given to us to send the free invites to you, contact you for your party planning updates, to provide customer support and finally so we can provide you with a fabulous mobile pamper party.

 

Information Sharing and Disclosure-

Information about our customers is important to our business. We share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

We share your name and address with the parcel company, to be able to deliver your invites.

We may be asked to provide proof of our bookings for our accounts to HMRC.

We do not share your information with any outside individuals

Using your data for marketing-

We send marketing emails to customers that have subscribed. If you do not subscribe you will not receive any marketing emails.

 

Opting out of marketing emails-

​

An email was sent to customers before the new guidelines with the option to subscribe, anyone who had previously subscribed was taken off the list.

How I keep your data secure-

We have security measures on all of our laptops and devices to ensure data is stored securely.

Any hard copies of your data is stored in a locked filing cabinet should we ever need to show our accounts to HMRC.

Any information no longer needed is shredded with a cross shredder.

*Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to provide our services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

*All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
